It is with sadness that we report the passing of Jeffrey “Bix” Bixby AFA1BX / W4BIX, Lykens, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife “PJ” KE4DWV. Recently featured in the Member Spotlight, “Bix” had been an active member of Air Force MARS, not only in Region One, but also in Regions Two and Three. Widely known and respected throughout the commercial broadcast industry, “Bix” had worked for many years as a consulting engineer in broadcasting and most recently in cellular and PCS technologies. His contributions to commercial broadcast engineering were recently recognized by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters (PAB) with the presentation of the PAB Broadcast Tube Award.
